Broadcaster Rick Cooper

Rick Cooper begins his 30th season as a play-by-play announcer and his 10th behind the mic at Groveport Madison High School. Cooper has broadcasted 42 national championships at the collegiate level. He spent three seasons with the Marshall University Football Radio Network, which was composed of 35 radio stations across three states. Cooper won two national championships as a basketball player at Kentucky Christian University back in 1995 and 1996. He even won a national ESPN Dick Vitale Sound-A-Like Contest back in 1995 that won him a free trip to the Final 4 and an appearance on ESPN’S SportsCenter. He was also a Showcase Showdown winner on The Price Is Right show! Rick and his wife Lynn live in Groveport with their 3 boys: Ricky (20), Price (18), and Ty (13).
